A Review of
JOB: A Comedy of Justice
by Robert Heinlein
the grey star picture

This book's main character, Alec Graham, is a very straightlaced religious fellow from a restrictive sect in a world where all of the Christians in North America are kind of like that.  He finds himself mystically transported into another world much like the first, except that everybody acts differently (very sinfully in his opinion, but he's trying to keep a low profile so he keeps his mouth shut) and everybody remembers him by a different name.  He meets a very nice woman named Margrethe, and becomes involved with her, but she is actually a follower of another religion entirely.
Most of the book consists of underhanded (ie nonconfrontational) argument between Alec and Margarethe about moral and religious issues.  Somewhere along the line, the rapture actually happens, believe it or not.  It's a good read.
    I give this book a 7/10
